Alexandra Petratos
Licensed Professional Counselor | M.S., LPC
Alexandra is a licensed professional counselor specializing in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. She primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)—evidence-based approaches that help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, cultivate more balanced thinking, and engage in healthier behaviors.
Background
I primarily work with adolescents and young adults navigating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, and life transitions. I hold an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have specialized training in OCD treatment. Drawing from evidence-based treatments, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as person-centered approaches, I strive to tailor therapy to each client’s needs and goals.
I believe therapy should be a collaborative process rooted in trust and connection. I approach each client with curiosity and compassion, recognizing that clients are the experts in their own lives. My goal as a therapist is to help clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
