Background
I’m a licensed professional counselor who specializes in depression, OCD and various anxiety disorders. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT) form the backbone of my therapeutic approach.
I graduated from The Chicago School with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2024. I did my clinical internship at Rogers Behavioral Health in the intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization program (PHP) setting. After graduation, I worked in the same settings as a therapist at Rogers with both adolescents and adults, specializing in depression, OCD and anxiety disorders.
As a therapist, I facilitate the exploration of ineffective coping, blindspots and barriers to thriving. I prioritize finding meaning in overcoming personal challenges. I am easy going and want to make the most of the time my clients are taking to work on themselves. I listen in a validating and non-judgemental way to help clients grow and evolve in a way that suits their values.
Before becoming a therapist I worked in various roles including as a shepherd at an organic farm, a horticulturist at Lincoln Park Zoo, on the grounds crew for Wrigley Field and as a construction superintendent for a green roof company. The common thread in my background is growth. I love turning honest meaningful conversation into righteous action and greater joy and fulfillment.
My goal is to be of service to my clients. I strive to help them garner a better understanding of themselves and equip them with better coping skills so that they can more fully flourish.
